Delta Dep. Gov Commiserates With Akon Eyakenyi Over Daughter’s Death

The Deputy Governor of Delta State, Sir Monday Onyeme, visited Uyo, Akwa Ibom State on Monday to commiserate with his Akwa Ibom counterpart, Sen. Akon Eyakenyi, over the death of her daughter, Blessing Eyakenyi Olumuyiwa Adewumi.

Adewumi (1995 – 2025), who got married on June 22, 2024, passed on due to complications during childbirth at a hospital in Port Harcourt on Jan. 27

A Service of Songs will be held in her honour on Feb. 5.

The Deputy Governors of Rivers, Prof. Ngozi Nma Odu, Bayelsa, Sen. Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, and Peter Odey (Cross River State) were with Sir Onyeme (Delta State) during the visit.
