The Cross River State governor, Prince Bassey Edet Otu, has conveyed heartfelt gratitude to the citizens for their unwavering support and commitment to the state’s development. Acknowledging the economic challenges faced by individuals and families nationwide, he emphasizes that these difficulties are not unique to Cross River.
Gov Otu made his feeling known in his Christmas message, delivered on behalf of his family, stressed that his administration aligns with President Bola Tinubu’s renewed hope agenda. “We are planting seeds for economic turnaround and significant progress in our state and country,” he affirmed.
The message was made public by his Chief Press Secretary, Nsa Gill, the message reminds everyone of the true spirit of Christmas, highlighting the importance of unity and love in overcoming challenges.
Governor Otu expressed confidence that sustained governmental policies will yield positive results in the coming year. He passionately called for a renewed spirit of giving and kindness this Christmas, urging residents to embody the season’s true meaning. “Let us extend friendship and support to our neighbours, especially those in need. This is the essence of Christmas and reflects the values we uphold in Cross River,” he stated.
Highlighting the state’s achievements over the past year, the Governor pointed to significant advancements in infrastructure, investment promotion, security, tourism, education, agriculture, and healthcare. He credited these successes to the collective dedication of the people and encouraged them to continue supporting government initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality of life in the state.
To visitors arriving for the annual Christmas festivities and Carnival Calabar, Governor Otu offered a warm welcome. He invited them to immerse themselves in the rich culture and traditions of Cross River State, assuring them of a safe and enjoyable experience in a hospitable environment.
