2025 NATION’S CUP FEVER PITCH

After a long period of comprehensive build-up anchored by nagging fear and excitement, the much talked about 2025 African Cup Of Nations will flag off today in Rabat, the Moroccan busiest City with the host Country, Morocco pitching battle against Comoros in the Opening match.

And for three weeks, teams from 24 African Countries will try each other for size in six Moroccan Cities to decide who will clinch the Continent’s most Cherished trophy which came into existence in 1957.

The Countries are Morocco, Mali, Zambia and Comoros in Group A.
Egypt, South Africa, Angola and Zimbabwe are in Group B. While Nigeria, Tunisia, Uganda and Tanzania will pitch battle in Group C.
Senegal, DR Congo, Benin Republic and Botswana will sweat it out in Group D while Algeria and the trio of Equatorial Guinea, Sudan and Burkina Faso are in Group E. Cote d’ Ivoire, Cameroon, Gabon and Mozambique will battle it out in Group F.

Initially over 70 Countries across the Continent battled for a place in Morocco but unfortunately, preliminaries had reduced the numbers to 24.

They will play a round robin of 52 matches for the last two who will square up for the finals after surviving the flurry of upsets during the playoffs.
And for every two years, this big soccer fiest promises as much excitement but this year’s edition from all indication will not only be tough but will also be full of surprises inview of the Countries Involved.

The Nations Cup is an international event that will attract over 2000 Newsmen and several thousands of fans including Pick Pockets, Tourists and Women of every Virtures around the Countinent.

The Moroccan government has since beefed up security in an effort to stop terrorists attacks and had already deployed thousands of military and paramilitary personnel across the country’s boarder, the Airports, Seaports, Venues, Hotels and Tourists Sights.

Already the hope and fear of carting home the prestigious trophy had since gripped all the participating teams hence the big preparation.
As usual, some Countries have spent a lot of money to put their respective teams in good shape while others are banking on Mother luck for Survival.

However, one thing is certain, the competition will change everything as new stars will emerged while the old ones might suddenly disintegrate.
