Nigeria Is Bleeding To Death Under The Watch Of It’s Military

Defence Minister, Christopher Musa

The Nigerian military is either cowardly or working with the radical insurgents. For seven years they have been unable to prevent, confront or counter the killers. They respond to distress calls at least half a day late blaming every phenomenon for their cowardice, they take money to kidnappers and claim they rescued the victims. Even when distressed communities give them intel, they leak same to insurgents.

Someone thought about Forest Guards to fill in the gaps left by the military, and the president created same. But they have not been able to commence training even when it is alleged that over 100 billion has been released for that purpose. So the forest remains shamefully “ungoverned” still. The military knows that these killers are embedded in forests in Niger, Katrina, Plateau, Kwara, Sokoto states, etc. But the military does not infiltrate and invade these forests. They have become inveterate cowads more interested in their own safety while the officers study the Calendar for their retirement date.

There has been neither commitment nor professionalism from the Nigerian military and the Commander-In-Chief has been at most a guest at his own wedding, clearly clueless and unaware. What has the National Security Adviser been doing for over two years now? No result-focused coordination, no successes. The insurgents are not decimated and the blood letting continues, the killing fields expanding by the day, while farmlands have become cemeteries with shallow graves of murdered citizens. It’s just been a comprehensive mess all around. No country survives this way. Yet you don’t want the Americas to come. Rubbish!
