PANDEF Hails Governor Otu at Third Anniversary, Commends Development Strides

The Cross River State Chapter of the Pan Niger Delta Forum has congratulated Governor Bassey Edet Otu on the occasion of his third anniversary in office, praising his administration’s efforts in repositioning the state through strategic reforms and people-oriented policies.
In a congratulatory message signed by the State Chairman of PANDEF, General Enang Ukagu (rtd.), the organization described the governor’s three years in office as a period marked by hope restoration, purposeful leadership and steady development across critical sectors of the state economy.
The group noted that Governor Otu has utilized the opportunity of his administration to implement deliberate policies and programmes aimed at improving the welfare of Cross Riverians and laying a solid foundation for sustainable growth.
According to PANDEF, the administration’s broad-based reforms have accelerated infrastructure development in key sectors, including transportation, education, healthcare and rural road construction, while also strengthening human capital development through employment opportunities and improved workers’ welfare.
The organization further commended the governor for the regular payment of salaries, settlement of outstanding arrears and the ongoing clearance of long-standing gratuities owed to retired civil servants, describing the measures as evidence of a compassionate and responsible government.
“All people of goodwill are grateful to Your Excellency for the broad-based reforms you have introduced in accelerated infrastructure projects development spanning transportation, education, healthcare, rural access roads and human capital development,” the statement said.
PANDEF stated that the achievements recorded so far under the administration have helped restore confidence in the future of the state and reinforced public trust in government.
The forum also expressed its readiness to partner with the state government in areas that would further advance the development of Cross River State and the wider Niger Delta region.
“PANDEF is proud to identify with your genuine efforts at moving our dear state to higher ground and is prepared to work with you in any area Your Excellency may find us useful because we are very concerned about the development of our state and the Niger Delta region as a whole,” the statement added.
The organization joined other well-meaning Cross Riverians in celebrating the governor’s third anniversary and reaffirmed its goodwill, loyalty and commitment to supporting initiatives that promote peace, development and prosperity in the state.
PANDEF concluded by wishing Governor Otu continued success in office as he pursues his administration’s vision of transforming Cross River State and improving the living standards of its citizens.
