Fellow party members,
Today marks a historic moment as we welcome numerous members from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC). This mass defection is a testament to the growing strength and appeal of our party, and we are proud to have Hon. Obong Paul Ekpo, the House of Representatives member for Etinan Federal Constituency, leading the charge.
The Governor’s assurance that every member will be carried along is a welcome development. This inclusive approach will foster unity and cooperation within the party, allowing us to work together towards achieving our goals.
As we move forward, it’s essential that we respect the party’s leadership and hierarchy. We must recognize that building a strong party takes time and effort, and we cannot expect to jump straight to leadership positions without putting in the necessary work.
We are building a party from the ward up in Southern Iman Ward 2, starting with the grassroots and working our way up. Let’s work together to make our party great and let’s respect the leadership that has brought us to this point.
I urge all members to join the party as co-members, without forming unnecessary groups or assuming leadership positions without earning them. As we start this new chapter, let’s remember that leadership positions are earned, not assumed. We must be willing to start from the grassroots level, build our way up, and demonstrate our capabilities before aspiring to higher positions.
By working together and following the party’s hierarchy, we can build a strong and effective party that will serve the Local Government, State, and Nation well. Let’s seize this opportunity to make a positive impact and create a brighter future for ourselves and our community.
In conclusion, I welcome you all to the APC and look forward to working together to build a strong and vibrant party that will make a real difference in the lives of our people. Thank you.
